1. How long have you been in the music industry and has music always been a part of your life?
I've been in the music industry for bout 17 years seriously!
2. Was there a specific moment in your life where you thought, “music is what I want to do”?
Well I don't think it just happened as a "you know what Ima do music" type of thing! It was more like the older I got and more knowledge I gained, the more serious I was, as for pushing toward the big leagues!
3. What inspires you (or your music)?
My Daughter Mostly but my life situations and Family/ seeing how I can really help others by turning negative to positive.
4. Who’s on your iTunes playlist?
(Laugh) well really I don't have one. (laughs more) but if I did my playlist would be like: lil Wayne, Yo gotti, Ti, Young Jeezy, jay-z Kanyae West J-Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Young Thugg, Rich Homie Quan, Future, Drake, Wale, Rozay, etc. Basically Dj Khaled List!(laughs)!
5. The project you are currently promoting, how did the idea for it come about?
Well I wanted to make it relevant but different but apart of my real life experiences!!! So (Quick Licks) Lizard Lick Da Money! My single was Formatted!
6. There are thousands of artists trying to do what you are doing, what do you think gives you an advantage to break into mainstream America?
Because I'm real to myself I do it for no other reason but to help with my community and Family/Close Friends So God’s going to bless me for that alone!
7. I’ve heard your latest music and it’s amazing! I can definitely tell your sound has evolved over the past few years from previous songs we’ve heard from you online. What are your thoughts on the evolution of an artist and the evolution of music today?
I definitely have evolved as an artist lyrically And creatively! But I was (shooting in the gym when no one was to keep myself sharp I was reading and I try to learn anything I can! The music today is kool but it's not the type of music I prefer! To make But if that's your preference!
8. Do you have other passions in life? Do you believe passion is an essential part of success?
Yes I always wanted to open up a luxury soul food restaurant for my mom’s cooking! And franchise it out! If that make sense (laugh)! And yes I do because it's hard to succeed at something if your all is not put in it, and I feel if it's your passion you’re going to go harder to succeed!
9. With your current success and working with a renowned PR firm such as Starlight PR, What advice would you give to someone just starting out in his or her career who doesn't even have a studio to record but would love to do what you are doing now?
