Exclusive Interview with Pb Hassan

Life experiences inspire me also new music that may come out. And basically things that just get me excited.

1. How long have you been in the music industry and has music always been a part of your life?

I've been in the music industry 15 years plus and yes music has always been a part of my life.
    
2. Was there a specific moment in your life where you thought, “music is what I want to do”?

Yes there was a specific moment in my life when I thought music was what I wanted to do I was young and I used to listen to the radio Non-Stop and I loved to perform.

3. What inspires you (or your music)?

Life experiences inspire me also new music that may come out. And basically things that just get me excited.

4. Who’s on your iTunes playlist?’

My iTunes playlists consist of: oldies, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and soul -- such as Jay-Z, Chance the Rapper , old school hip hop, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Najee, Jodeci, Drake and many others.

5. The project you are currently promoting, how did the idea for it come about?

 It was my cousin's birthday party and we were singing the traditional Happy Birthday song and I thought no one has ever did on a mainstream  Hip Hop Street birthday song. The ideas begin to flow quickly and easily and then it was created.

6. There are thousands of artists trying to do what you are doing, what do you think gives you an advantage to break into mainstream America?

My charisma, my delivery, my flow, my honesty and my versatility is what gives me the advantage to break into mainstream America.

7. I’ve heard your latest music and it’s amazing! I can definitely tell your sound has evolved over the past few years from previous songs we’ve heard from you online. What are your thoughts on the evolution of an artist and the evolution of music today?

I think evolution is great, everything must change and we all must have different experiences. I love how artists evolve, try different things and new sounds, it shows growth.

8. Do you have other passions in life? Do you believe passion is an essential part of success?

I have the passion to create and to see people enjoy music, whether is dancing, bobbing there head, rocking out to it and basically just vibeing to it. And yes I believe passion is an essential part of success because there are a lot of ups and downs and obstacles that come along with pursuing a successful career in music but the passion is what makes you keep coming back to succeed.

9. With your current success and working with a renowned PR firm such as Starlight PR, What advice would you give to someone just starting out in his or her career who doesn't even have a studio to record but would love to do what you are doing now?

The advice I would give is -- Do your homework , be original, follow your heart and take risk.
