Upcoming 100: How long have you been in the music industry and has music always been a part of your life?

TAO: I've been in and out of the studio at the age of 13 ever since then music has been everything.

Upcoming 100: Was there a specific moment in your life where you thought, “music is what I want to do”?

TAO: When I did my first 16 bar verse on a song that my father produced that's when I decided that "hey this is what  wanted to do".

Upcoming 100: What inspires you (or your music)?

TAO: My daily experiences in life inspires me and my music everything that I expresses in my song I've been through.

Upcoming 100: Who’s on your iTunes playlist?

TAO: I have variety of people in my playlist. Chris Brown, Eminem, tory Lanez, Rakim, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Nas, Travis Scott, Dr. Dre, 50 cent, Drake. I mean the list can go on and includin myself as well.

Upcoming 100: The project you are currently promoting, how did the idea for it come about?

TAO: I've basically been on this idea about my project for a while now I'm just now taking action on my dream I'm making it come to life now as we speak.

Upcoming 100: There are thousands of artists trying to do what you are doing, what do you think gives you an advantage to break into mainstream America?

TAO: What gives me an advantage in this industry is that I invest in myself and I have the whole stardo package body, looks, lyrics, performance.

Upcoming 100: I’ve heard your latest music and it’s amazing! I can definitely tell your sound has evolved over the past few years from previous songs we’ve heard from you online. What are your thoughts on the evolution of an artist and the evolution of music today?

TAO: Well you know the growth of my music is very important and even noticed it since I was 13. My music has grown dramatically and you know what there's nothing wrong with growth.

Upcoming 100: Do you have other passions in life? Do you believe passion is an essential part of success?

TAO: Yes I do. I love working out. My body is a main priority to me and passion is essential.

Upcoming 100: With your current success and working with a renowned PR firm such as Starlight PR, What advice would you give to someone just starting out in his or her career who doesn't even have a studio to record but would love to do what you are doing now?

TAO: I would say get you a source of income, use what you get from it to invest into yourself and what you do if studio time is what you want then you save and put towards what you want, you have to grind.
