Upcoming 100: How long have you beed in the music industry and has music has always been a part of you life?

Commander & Chief: Music has always been a part of our life. We got serious about the industry about 2 years ago.

Upcoming 100: Was there a specific moment in your life where you thought, "music is what I want to do"?

Commander & Chief: About 2 years ago when we decided to come together with our music.

Upcoming 100: What inspires you (or your music)?

Commander & Chief: Family and the support of the fans... The fans are our main inspiration.

Upcoming 100: Who's on your iTunes playlist?

Commander & Chief: Dread Head Gillie & Emmanuel Obamas, Future, Drake, Bryson Tiller and Jay Z

Upcoming 100: The project you are currently promoting, how did the idea for it come about?

Commander & Chief: We were at Patch Works Studio and came up with the track "Going Crazy" and we had good response from people so we're just promoting what the people want.

Upcoming 100: There are thousands of artists trying to do what you are doing, what do you think gives you an advantage to break into mainstream America?

Commander & Chief: Our style and our sound, and we relate to 80% of mainstream America.

Upcoming 100: I've heard your latest music and it's amazing! I can definitely tell your sound has evolved over the past few years from previous songs we've heard from you online. What are your thoughts on the evolution of an artist and the evolution of music today?

Commander & Chief: Working and being consistent to make good music for our supporters - they make us work together.

Upcoming 100:  Do you have other passions in life? Do you believe passion is an essential part of success?

Commander & Chief: Yes, we have other passions in life, and music just happens to be one of them. Passion for something helps the process. With passion you can be successful and happy.

Upcoming 100: With your current success and working with a renowned PR firm such as Starlight PR, what advice would you give to someone just starting out in his or her career who doesn't even have a studio to record but would love to do what you are doing now?

Commander & Chief: Invest and believe in yourself.
