Upcoming 100: How long have you been in the music industry and has music always been a part of your life?

Argiel: I’ve been in the music industry 5 years but it has always been a part of my life in some form or fashion.

Upcoming 100: Was there a specific moment in your life where you thought, “music is what I want to do”?

Argiel: I thought that about 5 years ago when I decided to do it. I left school and skipped states to make it happen.

Upcoming 100: What inspires you (or your music)?

Argiel: Life and my family. They bring me the most genuine inspirations. 

Upcoming 100: Who’s on your iTunes playlist?’

Argiel: Myself, 2pac, Eminem, Public announcement, R kelly. There are a variety of artist that I listen to.

Upcoming 100: The project you are currently promoting, how did the idea for it come about?

Argiel: The project came about from an organic idea to openly speak my mind on controversial situations that my generation struggle with.

Upcoming 100: There are thousands of artists trying to do what you are doing, what do you think gives you an advantage to break into mainstream America?

Argiel: My music is pure. I also can adapt to whatever the task at hand requires. And I have God.

Upcoming 100: I’ve heard your latest music and it’s amazing! I can definitely tell your sound has evolved over the past few years from previous songs we’ve heard from you online. What are your thoughts on the evolution of an artist and the evolution of music today?

Argiel: The evolution of an artist is the same as anyone. It’s based on your determination to be the best you that you can be. As far as the evolution of music today? I don’t really listen to many artist today. There’s a void when it comes to my particular taste in music.

Upcoming 100: Do you have other passions in life? Do you believe passion is an essential part of success?

Argiel: Anything I put my time and effort in becomes a passion. I feel that anything less would be a waste of my time. Passion fuels success. I don’t see a way to do your absolute best at anything if you’re not passionate about it.

Upcoming 100: With your current success and working with a renowned PR firm such as Starlight PR, What advice would you give to someone just starting out in his or her career who doesn't even have a studio to record but would love to do what you are doing now?

Argiel: My only advice would be to see it through. Don’t let your circumstances be your guide. That’s what you have a heart for.
