Clean Bandit bounds 3-1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated July 1) with "Symphony," featuring Zara Larsson. Remixed by Cash Cash, Joe Maz and R3hab, among others, the track is the first leader for both acts. "Symphony" is the follow-up to Clean Bandit's first top 10, "Rockabye" (featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie), which hit No. 5 in March.
Also on Dance Club Songs, Debbie Gibson scores her highest-charting hit in more than 25 years as featured on Sir Ivan's "I Am Peaceman" (42-29). Gibson, who boasts the Dance Club Songs top 10s "Shake Your Love" (No. 6, 1987) and "Electric Youth" (No. 3, 1989), last charted higher with "One Step Ahead" (No. 18, 1991). Among Sir Ivan's eight chart entries is one with another '80s hitmaker: "Kiss All the Bullies Goodbye," featuring Taylor Dayne, reached No. 22 in 2015.
With "Peaceman," Sir Ivan hopes to raise awareness about gun violence.
ZEDD, CARA CLOCK IN AT NO. 1: Zedd and Alessia Cara crown Dance/Mix Show Airplay with "Stay" (2-1), the DJ's fourth topper and the singer's second. Cara led earlier in 2017 with "Scars to Your Beautiful" (remixed from its original midtempo form), while Zedd previously reigned as featured on Ariana Grande's "Break Free" (2014) and with his own "Stay the Night," featuring Hayley Williams (2013), and "Spectrum," featuring Matthew Koma (2012).
Also on the tally, Julia Michaels jumps 11-7 with "Issues," her first top 10 in her debut chart appearance, and Halsey leaps 15-9 with "Now or Never," her first top 10 as a lead act and second overall, following her feature on The Chainsmokers' record 20-week No. 1 "Closer."
'2U' TO 4: Shifting to Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, David Guetta grooves 17-4 with "2U," featuring Justin Bieber (the Billboard Hot 100's top debut, at No. 16). Guetta scores his eighth top 10, tying The Chainsmokers and Zedd for second-most in the chart's four-year history; Calvin Harris leads with 12 top 10s. Bieber adds his fourth top 10.
"2U" debuts as Guetta's fifth No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales with 72,000 first-week downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music. Since the chart's January 23, 2010, inception, Guetta leads all acts with 41 charted titles (Skrillex follows with 29) and 23 top 10s (Harris is next with 17). His five No. 1s are second only to The Chainsmokers and Nicki Minaj, each with six. "2U" is Guetta's first No. 1 debut in six years, since his first leader, "Where Them Girls At," featuring Flo Rida and Minaj, in 2011. (In a stronger era for digital song sales, "Where" opened with 162,000 sold.)
"2U" is Bieber's fourth Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales No. 1, tying him with Lady Gaga (behind The Chainsmokers, Minaj and Guetta) for the fourth-most leaders on the list.
"2U" starts at No. 2 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs, care of 14.2 million U.S. streams. It also bullets at No. 17 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay following its first full week of radio tracking.
