Gallagher released the first single off the set, "Wall of Glass," last month and earlier this month performed with members of Coldplay for his hometown at the One Love Manchester benefit concert that followed a deadly suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in May.
For As You Were, Gallagher, teamed with producer Greg Kurstin (Sia, Adele) for four songs on the album and worked with Dan Grech-Marguerat on the remaining tracks.
"I didn't want to be reinventing anything or going off on a space jazz odyssey," said Gallagher in a statement. "It's the Lennon 'Cold Turkey' vibe, The Stones, the classics. But done my way, now."
While As You Were is Gallagher's first official solo release, it is not his first post-Oasis album. From 2009-2014, he played in Beady Eye with his former Oasis bandmates, excluding his brother Liam Gallagher. They released two studio albums during this time.
