The somewhat unlikely location was due to their individual appearance at the The zpl Birthday Bash, a concert hosted by local radio station WZPL. Flo Rida, Fifth Harmony, James Arthur, Aaron Carter and a surprise guest were all set to perform as well.
In a video on Horan's Instagram stories, the singer joked that he and Horan would soon be riding horses at the "horse show" as well, directing his camera to the horse track backstage at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
One Direction went on hiatus in January 2016. Since then, the band members have embarked on solo musical careers and personal life journeys. Horan so far has released two solo tracks, "This Town" and "Slow Hands." (Payne is notably wearing a bear necklace to honor his son.) So, surely the two bandmates have plenty to catch up on.
