Cabello will open for the "That's What I Like" singer during the tour's North American leg, with dates running July 20 to August 22.
The 20-year-old star made the announcement in a string of emotional Twitter messages, writing that she's "geeked" to be opening for Mars -- "every night I'm gonna be peering out from side stage trying to learn as much as I can," she added.

Since Fifth Harmony announced Cabello's departure in late 2016, the star has released two songs from her highly anticipated solo album: "Crying in the Club" and "I Have Questions." Her full debut album, The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving, drops in September.
But Cabello isn't the only female pop star joining Mars on the extensive world tour: Dua Lipa will pick up as the opening act in September, touring with Mars into 2018, the singer announced Monday on Twitter.
