Future's Self-Titled Album Is Certified Platinum

Future torched his way through 2017 with his manic work ethic and because of that, he's now reaping the fruits of his labor.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

On Thursday (Aug. 10), the RIAA announced that his self-titled album is officially platinum.

"Props to @1future on new Platinum for #Future. 1 of just 5 Platinum (or higher) 2017 albums! @Epic_Records," tweeted the RIAA. Future's fifth studio album churned out the highest-charting single of his career in "Mask Off." The flute-laden record peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and later earned a beastly remix, courtesy of Kendrick Lamar. The record currently sits at No. 23 on the Hot 100.

Earliest this year, Future's incendiary run was sparked by his unprecedented back-to-back No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. After unleashing Future, he returned a week later and unseated his previous endeavor with HNDRXX, earning him the deserving accolade. The Beast Mode artist continued his onslaught when he embarked on his Nobody Safe Tour last May with MigosA$AP Ferg and Tory Lanez

Future is currently on his HNDRXX tour with his next show happening on Sunday at the Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.
