Maroon 5 Take a Big Sip of 'Whiskey' on New Song With A$AP Rocky

Maroon 5 is embracing an early release of "Whiskey," the band's collaboration with A$AP Rocky from upcoming album Red Pill Blues.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

"Not going to stop a good thing," Maroon 5 tweeted Wednesday (Oct. 18), along with a SoundCloud stream of "Whiskey."

"And I was so young/ 'Til she kissed me/ Like a whiskey/ Like a whiskey," Levine croons on the track, which has the frontman reflecting on a slow burning romance that has him realizing he "would've waited a thousand nights/ If she never said goodbye/ I admit that I/ Would've sold my soul for a little more time."

A$AP Rocky comes in for a final verse, offering some alcohol-inspired wordplay.
