Nicholas Lee Bishop AKA "Nick the Wrangler" was arrested in Florida earlier this week.
Bishop was hit with federal charges claiming he was involved in the illegal sale and transportation of a Bengal tiger.
The 27-year old is accused of providing an organization with a fake ID and documentation to buy the tiger.
Bishop initially told authorities that he purchased the animal for $1,500 on behalf of the rap star.
Bishop claims he drove the tiger from Indiana to Nevada, where Tyga picked up the tiger and drove it back to his mansion in Calabasas, California.
According to reports, Tyga got nervous over having the wildcat in his mansion because he knew it was illegal without a valid permit.
The tiger was given to a friend and eventually escaped into a residential neighborhood in Los Angeles.
From there, the cat was given to another set of friends, who held the tiger in a dog crate.
Tyga is not facing any charges in relation to the smuggling.
He claimed he had no knowledge of the incident, and that the photos he posted with a tiger on his social media were from hired contracted production companies.
