Eric Prydz Unveils 'Tonja Holma' Alias With Four-Track Ambient Funk EP

Eric Prydz. Pryda. Cirez D. Tonja Holma?

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

The iconic producer has donned a fourth alias to expand his musical universe beyond even his prodigious catalog.

Going by the moniker Tonja Holma, he isn't afraid to have fun and get weird. Holma is about exploring electronic textures and disco grooves through fat filtered synths and steady beats. It's a futuristic sound for whatever interstellar dance floors Elon Musk may have in mind for Mars.

It's playful even when it's understated, displaying a variety of moods from start to finish. It's a cool new direction from an artistic mind that truly knows no bounds. It's edgy and daring, at times as if Daft Punk made an ambient album.

The four-track, self-titled Tonja Holma EP is out now on Prydz' label Pryda Presents. Listen to it in full below.
