The result? A seductive Spanish-language single that has already topped Brazil's Spotify chart. "Downtown" features a smoldering visual in which Anitta and J Balvin channel Bonnie and Clyde in a conniving plot to swindle a casino. It's a captivating collaboration from two Latin artists currently at the peak of their crossover powers.
The duo previously joined forces on Anitta's 2015 remix of J Balvin's "Ginza."
“Working with Balvin is incredible,” says Anitta. “We worked together before, but I’m happy we made this song. He’s one of my favorite artists, so this was an amazing experience.”

The release follows a busy Latin Grammy Awards stretch for both stars.
Sporting Dayglo hair and a pink tracksuit, Balvin delighted the award show's attendees with a medley of hits "Si Tu Novio Te Deja Sola," "Unforgettable," and, of course, global smash "Mi Gente," featuring appearances from Bad Bunny, French Montana and Steve Aoki. Balvin was also nominated in the Best Urban Song and Best Urban Fusion/Performance categories.
The previous night (Nov. 15), Anitta joined Nick Jonas and Residente in honoring Spanish singer/songwriter Alejandro Sanz with a rendition of "Looking For Paradise" at the 2017 Person of the Year Gala.
