John Mayer Thanks Fans After Emergency Surgery, Posts Hospital-Gown Selfie: 'Still Got It'

John Mayer took to Twitter on Wednesday (Dec. 6), thanking fans for all their love and support one day after he was hospitalized for an emergency appendectomy.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

The singer apologized for having to cancel his concert with Dead & Company in New Orleans. In the tweet, he mentions being “sorry that we couldn’t finish out the last few dates of the tour.”

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. Had surgery yesterday and woke up to see some amazingly kind and loving tweets. I’m so sorry that we couldn’t finish out the last few dates of the tour. This band and these shows mean the world to me. Love you all dearly. âš¡ï¸â™¥ï¸âš¡ï¸

The “Love on the Weekend” crooner still seems to be in good spirits despite the unfortunate circumstances, posting a mirror selfie on Instagram with the caption “still got it.”

The remaining two shows of the tour have since been postponed. Dead & Company was scheduled to play Thursday in Orlando and Friday in Fort Lauderdale.
