Everything You Need to Know About Cardi B's Steve Madden Collaboration

Cardi B is making major money moves. The star officially announced a brand-new partnership and collection with Steve Madden on Wednesday (Dec. 13).

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

From the Christian Louboutin reference on her record-breaking “Bodak Yellow” hit -- which was the first single by a solo female rapper that was able to top the Billboard Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill in 1998 -- it’s no secret she loves shoes.

However, she was strategic with her newest collaboration. “All of this came about because I keep bringing up to my manager, I want to work with brands that are affordable and chic but good quality,” she told Teen Vogue. “I don't want to work with a brand that is like, ‘Yeah they make shoes,’ or ‘Yeah, they make clothes,’ but it's like...cheap, not good to wear. I've always been a fan of Steven Madden. We have a mutual friend, and BAM! We connected.”

She also grew up wearing the popular footwear brand. “When I was 18 years old -- it was around wintertime, and I had on a turtleneck dress,” she revealed, “there was a pair of thigh-high boots in a suede material, and I really, really wanted to wear them with the dress. I made my boyfriend at the time buy them for me. They were around $200. I always wanted those shoes and I got them, and [the brand is] still making good boots.”

Her “Curated by Cardi” line is available now, just in time for your last-minute holiday shopping. Items range from $36-$230, but out of everything, the hip-hop sensation recommends not passing up any of the boots. “I love the boots that have a platform so they look like the '60s style that I'm so in love with,” Cardi shared. “[Steve Madden] has a lot of white boots I love. Then there's this pump that is baby pink, and it's so cute. I'm loving his thigh-highs. They actually fit my leg and go up and they stay there, you know?”
