Jennifer Lopez to Guest Star on Upcoming 'Will & Grace' Episode in Two Roles

Jennifer Lopez is taking on a new acting role this year, guest starring in an episode of the hit series Will & Grace.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

While not much information has been released yet, NBC announced in a press release Wednesday (Jan. 10) that the singer will play both herself andher Shades of Blue character Detective Harlee Santos.

After an eight-season run that ended in 2006, the incredibly popular sitcom returned for an additional two seasons in 2017. It stands as NBC's most-watched comedy in 12 years. The original cast and director also returned for the reboot, keeping the wittiness and integrity of the series alive.

Jennifer Lopez, while busy with her Las Vegas concert residency, is no stranger to acting. Besides her role in crime series Shades of Blue, Lopez has appeared in a number of films such as The Back-up Plan, Monster in Law, and Ice Age: Continental Drift.

The air date for the Will & Grace episode has yet to be announced.
