In regards to the creation of the song, Kali told Pigeons & Planes that the record almost didn't come into existence. "It’s a long story," he said. "This song died, came back to life, and stopped smoking Backwoods. Thank you for listening.” Kali's name might ring bells for avid Playboi Carti fans, as he appeared on his song "Flex" last year.
