While there are no snippets of the actual music that came from the session, Mike Will Made-it teased a video on his Instagram with Dr. Dre declaring “real hip-hop here,” only to be interrupted by Eminem’s “fake hip-hop here,” while pointing to himself.
Obviously the Dr. Dre and Eminem pairing is nothing new, with the two working together to create everything from Eminem’s most recent 2017 album Revival to the historic 1999 single “My Name Is,” which was the product of the two’s first-ever studio time together, as detailed in HBO's The Defiant Ones.
As for Mike Will Made-it, the beatmaker has become the stamp of a hip-hop hit, with his name on songs like Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” and Beyoncé’s “Formation.” And despite the rapper’s own impressive catalog, he still seized the opportunity to quote Em's famous 8 Mile lyric about embracing "the chance to blow" during his time in the studio with the two.
