Diggin In The Crates O.C. Releases “A New Dawn” Album

Legendary D.I.T.C. (Diggin In The Crates) member and Brooklyn heavyweight O.C. comes into 2018 with a fresh solo album entitled A New Dawn.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

The album plays part as the second phase in a mini-album series, with Same Sun, Same Moon being the first project. The album was released under record label D.I.T.C. Studios last Friday February 16th, 2018.

The album is a straight-up solo with no features, while having names such as Showbiz (fellow D.I.T.C. member), Motif Alumni, Gwop Sullivan and Dark Keys blessing the production side of things. O.C. is known for his heavy, razor-sharp lyricism, particularly over smooth, 90s East Coast boom bap beats. For this he is hailed as one of the greats to come out of the 90s East Coast era, working alongside names such as Big L, DJ Premier, Jeru The Damaja and many more. Die-hard fans should know what to expect from this album, and it definitely serves as no disappointment.

A New Dawn is the second album released by O.C. in the last six months, with the first being a conjoint project alongside Connecticut rapper Apathy (of Demigodz & AOTP) entitled Perestroika. One thing is for certain, the 46-year-old rapper is showing no signs of hanging up the boots to his already lasting legacy.
