Though Cardi has been teasing the highly anticipated release of her debut album since last fall — saying that it will be out in November and then January — Bardi seemed fully confident in declaring that her album will be out next month.
“My album will be coming in April, stay tuned mother fucker!” she said with a smirk.
The Bronx native also made sure to shout-out some of the most important people who have helped her reach superstar status during her acceptance speech, giving love to the fans — but almost more prominently, to the haters. “They be downloading my stuff so they can hear it and talk crap about it,” Cardi said, "but it benefits me!”
Before winning her first-ever iHeartRadio Music Award, Cardi kicked off the showwith a fiery performance of her own hits “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi,” along with her features on G-Eazy’s “No Limit” (for which the rapper joined her), Migos’ “Motorsport” and Bruno Mars’ “Finesse” remix. With her own songs and all of her collaborations, Cardi became the first woman to have five simultaneous top 10 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. With a full album on the way in just one month, Cardi may very well have more records in store.
