Maroon 5 Performs Colorful Rendition of 'Wait' at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards

There’s still a couple of months before Maroon 5’s North American tour kicks off, and at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday night (May 11), the hit-making group made it that much harder for fans to “Wait” to see them live.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Maroon 5 performed their latest Billboard Hot 100 top 40 hit “Wait” at the iHeart awards, and between Adam Levine’s impressive vocals and the colorful backdrop, Maroon 5 hinted that they have quite the show in store. As the band grooved to their wavy single, Levine improvised a few runs and some sultry falsetto that made for an all-around flawless performance.

The band added two more iHeartRadio Music Award nominations to their list of career achievements this year, up for collaboration of the year and best duo/group of the year, which they took home in 2016. Maroon 5 is set to hit the road on May 30, starting the Red Pill Blues Tour in Tacoma, Washington, before hitting more than 30 cities around the country through October.
