The record was officially released just before midnight on Friday (April 20), and while his previous album 4 Your Eyez Only famously went “platinum with no features,” KOD looks to be following the same route.
After Cole posted the full track list on Wednesday, confusion began to heighten at the “feat. kiLL edward” line item on two of the 12 tracks: “The Cut Off” and “FRIENDS.”
However, a user on Twitter was quick to listen to "tidal wave," the only track on kiLL edward's SoundCloud page, and discover that the lone contributor is just a slowed-down version of Cole himself.

J. Cole took to Twitter just one day before the release to confirm the triple meaning behind the album’s acronym. According to the rapper, KOD stands for Kids on Drugs, King Overdosed and Kill Our Demons.
KOD. 3 meanings.
Kids on Drugs
King Overdosed
Kill Our Demons
The rest of the album I leave to your interpretation.
KOD will need to hit some series heights to be as successful as his other four albums. All of them peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
