Speaking of the track from their latest album, SremmLife 3, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi recall living across the street from Mally Mall and hanging out in his home studio where they used to throw parties. One day while they were there, they played the track and, as Lee recounts, when the violins began playing in the beat, everyone there started “going crazy, everybody started bouncing. We had like 20-30 girls in the studio…they were in the studio twerking and dancing and vibing and jumping on stuff.”
The song samples “Side 2 Side” by Three 6 Mafia and featuring Bow Wow, of which Swae says: “It’s a banger. I remember the song used to make me get up in the morning and just lay in the living room and just watch the whole thing…feeling like I was about to bust out my shirt. I started just rapping on it, singing on it...I showed it to Slim Jxmmi, he did the verse real quick.”
Jxmmi shares that the first line he wrote was “Duck sauce on my feet/ Pass around the pre-rolls/ Rollie on my chain, Flava Flav with the steez, ho,” adding with a laugh, “I don’t know what that means!”
As for how Juicy J got involved, Swae says that the duo ended up running into him at a party and he expressed interest in collaborating. The same day, he sent back his part and, as Swae says, “wrecked it.”
