And the Brooklyn-bred rapper has additional major life news to share with the world: During his appearance on Complex's Open Late, Joey unveiled that he recently became a father for the first time in April.
"It's amazing, bro. It's a life-changer to see this little human you co-created with someone. She's like my little twin. It's honestly the most heartwarming thing that's ever happened to me. I love it," says the 23-year-old. He even unveiled her name later in the conversation. "Her name is Indigo Rain. She got some hippy parents," he proclaims.
The discussion moved into a recent talk the Pro Era rapper had with Lil Yachty, where Lil Boat felt that the two artists were from different generations of rap even though they're only three years apart. "[Lil Yachty] felt I wasn't part of this new generation and that was almost a culture shock for me. I'm like, 'Wow, I'm getting old.' I felt where he was coming from. His generation -- I'm not really a part of that," the "Devastated" MC explained to Peter Rosenberg.
