RuPaul Aims for Daytime With New Talk Show Pilot

After a decade of RuPaul's Drag Race, the Glamazon has another media frontier to conquer: the daytime talk show.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Indeed, RuPaul will vie for his spot in the competitive time slot, currently filming a talk show pilot for Telepictures, the same minds behind Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, according to Variety.

Larger-than-life, both figuratively and quite literally, the 6-foot-4 Emmy Award-winning host will interview celebrity guests, talk the latest in pop culture, play games and predictably provide some beauty tips, all in front of a live studio audience.

Partner-in-crime Michelle Visage will also reportedly be a staple on the show, targeted for release in the fall of 2019.

This won't be Ru's first foray into the talk-show world: The RuPaul Show aired for two seasons and 100 episodes on VH1 starting in 1996 and also featured the drag superstar interviewing celebrity guests.

RuPaul is currently working on his forthcoming Netflix original show AJ and the Queen, in which he will star and co-produce.
