Beyoncé and Balmain Announce Coachella-Inspired Charity Capsule

You’ll be able to own the sweatshirts worn during her 2018 Coachella performance.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

When Beyoncé headlined Coachella in 2018, she and her dancers were decked out in Balmain-designed sweatshirts inspired by the athletic styles of HBCUs, one of five outfits designed by the label. On July 13, Beyoncé and Balmain will release a capsule collection of the same pink and yellow sweatshirts you saw at Coachella, plus a new black t-shirt, as Vogue reports.

All items go on sale Friday July 14 at balmain.com and beyonce.com. The shirts sell for $290 and sweatshirts for $550–$1,790. Proceeds from the sales will benefit United Negro College Fund. “The donation was the main goal of this collaboration,” Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing told Vogue. “We don’t forget where we come from." In April, Beyoncé launched the Homecoming Scholars Program, an initiative awarding four students from four separate HCBUs a $25,000 scholarship.
