Watch Kanye West’s Interview with Jimmy Kimmel

They talked Trump, mental health and “Violent Crimes.”

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

On Thursday night, Kanye West guested on Jimmy Kimmel Live for his first televised interview since appearing on TMZ back in spring. Predictably, the conversation shifted to Kanye's support of Donald Trump. "As a musician, African American, everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me and then told me that I couldn't say that I like Trump," he told Kimmel.

The talk show host later asked him "you so famously, and so powerfully, said ‘George Bush doesn’t care about black people.’ It makes me wonder, what makes you think that Donald Trump does?” Sadly, Kanye didn't get a chance to answer, because the show quickly cut to a commercial break. When they returned, the two chatted about the creation of Kanye's latest album, ye, and the lyrical content of its closing track, “Violent Crimes.” Watch the entire interview below.
