Gary Numan Is 'Utterly Devastated' By Fatal Accident Involving His Tour Bus In Cleveland

Gary Numan, his bandmates and crew are said to be heartbroken after an elderly pedestrian was fatally struck by his tour bus in downtown Cleveland.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

The British new wave veteran and synth-pop pioneer canceled his concert at the Cleveland House of Blues after a 91-year-old man was reportedly hit by the vehicle early Monday afternoon. 

n a message posted to his social media accounts, the "Cars" singer said, “we are all utterly devastated” by the accident, and that "every one one of us is filled with a sadness that made it impossible” to perform Monday night. It’s unclear if Numan was onboard the vehicle at the time. 

“At the moment all we can think about are the people affected by this terrible tragedy and to them we send all our love,” the message continues.

Cleveland’s House of Blues announced the cancelation and confirmed refunds are being offered at the point of purchase.

 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, tonight’s show with Gary Numan at House of Blues Cleveland has been cancelled.
Refunds will be made available at the point of purchase.

Additionally, Coast to Coast Coach released a statement confirming they rented the bus to Numan's tour, according to WKYC-Channel 3. "We really regret the loss of life," the statement reads. "We've notified our carrier, and they are investigating this incident. In our 34 years of business, this has never happened." The victim’s name has not been released.
