The sketch parodied the recent meeting Trump had with rapper Kanye West and football player Jim Brown.
Chris Redd played West, who recently appeared as the musical guest this season and wore a Make America Great Again hat and gave an unaired pro-Trump speech after the episode.
“Oh, my God, he’s black me,” Trump said after Redd’s West proved to have a huge ego.
“This hat is like Superman’s hat,” Redd’s West said in regards to his MAGA hat. He rambled about several conspiracy theories, too. And references were made to the fact that he was seen typing in his cellphone password during the meeting.
Longtime SNL castmember Kenan Thompson played Brown, who became increasingly more incredulous about Trump and West’s words as the sketch went on.
“Black people love me. Way more than they love Alec Baldwin,” Baldwin’s Trump said, a very meta reference to the controversial interview Baldwin did in which he literally said that black people love him ever since he started doing the Trump impression.
