Kris Wu Shares 'November Rain' Music Video From Debut Album, 'Antares': Watch

Chinese superstar Kris Wu celebrated his 28th birthday at "The Antares Experience" event, organized by Interscope Records in New York City to release his "November Rain" music video.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Within five hours after the release of the birthday boy's first solo album, Antares, on Friday (Nov. 2), it reached No. 1 on four U.S. iTunes charts, as well as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines iTunes album charts. In more than two years working on his debut album, Wu created 14 tracks with lyrics in both English and Mandarin.

The week before the album's release, Kris Wu talked to Billboard Radio China at a Universal Music China exclusive media session in Beijing. "The lyrics truly are about my own growth, life, ideals, realizations, attitudes, different layers of thoughts after precipitation," he shared. "In terms of the style of the music, I chose hip-hop and urban music for this album, mainly."

Regarding the song "November Rain," the singer explains: "This song was inspired by my childhood memories. I was born in Guangzhou, where it always rains in autumn and winter. Then I moved to Vancouver to study, and the weather in Vancouver is also the same, which is why my memories and feelings about November are always related to the rain.

"When I was a child, my mother was always busy with work and could not be around. Most of the time, I stayed at home alone. I was always sensitive to being alone."
