Katt Williams to Make Appearance on ABC’S ‘Black-Ish’

Emmy award-winning comedian Katt Williams makes his return to network television.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

It’s being reported that Williams will make an appearance on the hit ABC comedy Black-ish. Fellow comedian and Black-ish co-star Deon Cole announced the news on Twitter as well and it sets that stage for Katt to bring his brand of comedy to one of the most popular sitcoms on television.

Katt is confirmed to be appearing in a one-episode role as Perry, the father of new character Kyra played by Quvenzhané Wallis. Kyra is a younger cousin of Andre Johnson, played by Anthony Anderson, who will be spending time with the Johnson family because her mother is having difficulty taking care of her. Perry is estranged from his daughter but will show up to the Johnson household unexpectedly.

The inside source revealed, “It’s definitely a comeback for Katt. This is a big deal. He was on Atlanta, but this is a mainstream, family-friendly, network series. If Katt f–ks this up, he’s never getting another shot. Everyone is rooting for him, especially stars Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson.”

Katt’s last cameo appearance on the small screen was on the hit FX comedy-drama series Atlanta, for which he took home an Emmy.
