Actress Christina Engelhardt Alleges She Had an Affair With Woody Allen at 16

Christina Engelhardt alleges in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she was involved in an eight-year relationship with famed director Woody Allen that started when she was only 16 years old.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Their romance began when Engelhardt caught the attention of a 41-year-old Allen in October 1976 at the New York restaurant Elaine's with a note which read, "Since you've signed enough autographs, here's mine," along with her phone number.

It wasn't long before their relationship became intimate, prior to her turning 17—the legal age in New York. Engelhardt claims that, even though Allen never asked about her age, he was aware that she was still in high school, and lived with her family in New Jersey. Woody may have understood the potential optics of being seen with the young, aspiring actress because they would only meet at his apartment. Engelhardt and THR, however, chalk up their meet-up spot to the director's desire for privacy.

Engelhardt alleges that two "beautiful young ladies" started to get occasionally involved in threesomes with her and Allen about one year into their relationship. After four years, she was introduced to Mia Farrow, the adopted mother of his wife Soon-Yi Previn, as his girlfriend, but she was under the assumption that they were together all along. Engelhardt claims her, Farrow, and Allen also engaged in threesomes.

After eight years, Engelhardt decided to leave Allen and New York altogether. "I thought I was special, and then I realized he's a big person and he's got a big life — I'm in his life," she recalls. "It's a rainbow with many colors, and I'm one of them." As for why she decided to speak out after all this time, she responds, "What made me speak is I thought I could provide a perspective. I’m not attacking Woody. This is not 'bring down this man.' I'm talking about my love story. This made me who I am. I have no regrets."
