ILoveMakonnen Reunites With Gucci Mane on "Spendin"

ILoveMakonnen dives into the new year with a braggadocious single "Spendin."

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

The song—produced by Makonnen, Roofeeo, Louis Bell, and Brenton Duvall—includes a guest verse by Gucci Mane, who previously worked with Makonnen on the "Cash Cash" and "Take It Easy" tracks. "Spendin" is definitely their most infectious, and least humble, collaboration yet with lines about luxury cars, expensive clothes, jet-setting, and, of course, flexing on your haters.

"I made 'Spendin' to be a fun song that you can play anywhere," the former OVO signee said. "It's about spending money on things you love and spending time with people who hate you. People always like to hate when you're spending."

You can stream the track now on Apple Music/iTunes, Spotify, or YouTube below. It's unclear if this track is a standalone cut, or if it'll land on a full-length project. "Spendin" arrives just months after Makonnen released "Sunlight on Your Skin" featuring the late Lil Peep.
