Sam Smith and Normani's Collab 'Dancing With A Stranger' Is Here: Stream It Now

Normani is on the verge of a massive breakout 2019, with EW enthusiastically declaring the Fifth Harmony singer is “ready to fully step out on her own”.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Sam Smith is already at the summit, with multiple Grammys, a Bond theme and seven U.K. No. 1s to his name. They’re a smouldering combo, and they've delivered something fiery with “Dancing With A Stranger," which dropped midnight across digital music services.

The collab, an R&B-influenced pop number, happened through a chance encounter at the studio in Los Angeles as the British singer was writing with Stargate and Jimmy Napes. As the story goes, Normani was in the studio next door and the rest is all in the recording, which can be streamed in full below.

"Look what you made me do/I'm with somebody new/oh baby baby I'm dancing with a stranger," Sam and Normani sing.

Speaking on the track, Smith says “it bottles everything I was feeling whilst juggling my personal life and touring.  It is also such a beautiful moment for me as I’m a huge, huge fan of Normani and everything she is. I’m so excited to watch her light shine.”

Normani, who launched her solo career last year on the solo debut “Love Lies” with Khalid, enthuses, “I never thought in a trillion years that I would be able to state that I have a record with this extremely gifted being.”
