Michael Jackson's Nephew Defends His Uncle Following Sexual Abuse Documentary Announcement

On Thursday (Jan. 10), a documentary about the lives of two boys who claim Michael Jackson sexually abused them was added to this year's Sundance Film Festival lineup.

In response, the King of Pop's nephew Taj is coming to his uncle's defense.

"I’m so tired of these lies about my uncle. MJfam, I see all your comments and messages about wanting to fight back," he wrote on Twitter. "I doubt the media wants to learn the truth or is even interested in it. Negativity sells. But please post below on what we all can do to expose this documentary."

Michael Jackson's estate responded earlier to the news, noting that "This so called 'documentary' is just another rehash of dated and discredited allegations. It’s baffling why any credible filmmaker would involve himself with this project."

The two-part doc will premiere on Jan. 25 in the event's Special Events Category. Sundance takes over Park City, Utah, from Jan. 24 to Feb. 4.
