Future's The WIZRD is expected to move between 120,000 to 130,000 units with 10,000 to 12,000 actual albums sold. This continues an impressive winning streak for Future: His albums have been pushing six figures in their first week since 2015's DS2.
Although The WZRD is Future's first official album in nearly two years, he has kept busy by finally dropping the mixtape BEAST MODE 2 and curating the soundtrack for last year's Superfly. Future has said that this project, his last on his Epic Records deal, marks the end of a chapter.
“It’s a long road, heading down this road I know how to maneuver down," he said in a recent interview with Rolling Stone. "I know how to detour off this road, also. That’s The WIZRD.”
Outside of The WIZRD, Pharrell's protege Maggie Rogers' Heard It in a Past Life follows with 35,000-39,000 units while James Blake's Assume Form trails with 15,000-18,000.
