Gunna Announces 'Drip or Drown II' Release Date

The wait is nearly over.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Gunna took to Instagram Thursday evening (Feb. 7) to announce that his highly anticipated Drip or Drown II album will be released later this month (Feb. 22). The project arrives on the heels of the effort's luxurious lead single "One Call," which dropped last Friday (Feb. 1).

The first of the series landed only as an EP back in November of 2017. The ATLien promised the follow-up would arrive in 2018, but a few delayed pushed the release date back to Feb. 22. Gunna also shared the aquatic cover art of the album, continuing the underwater theme of the single's artwork.

The 25-year-old went on a mini-Los Angeles press run in recent days, where he spoke on additional plans to lock in a joint project with YSL honcho Young Thug and go back-to-back with Lil Baby on Drip Harder 2. "Lately we been working like extra. I was just at the studio locking back in with him," Gunna told Real 92.3 (Feb. 6) of him working with Thugger. "Yeah for sure. We pressing for this year, honestly."

Gunna is also teasing an announcement over on his official website that will go live Friday (Feb. 8) regarding how fans can get an early listen to his new album.

Drip or Drown II releases Feb. 22. Check out the cover art below.
