Chance The Rapper to Drop New Album in July

Lil Chano from 79th is dropping in the Summer.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Chance The Rapper took to social media on Monday to announce the release date for his sophomore project. While shopping at Barney’s with his girlfriend Chance is ecstatic. He celebrates the 4th anniversary of the popular Open Mic program he runs for students in Chicago, his upcoming marriage and impatient fans. “Ni**a life is good and you gon get that s**t when I’m ready,” said the Chicago native. He ends the video announcing that the new album is set for a July release.

Since the release of his Grammy Award-winning debut album, Coloring Book (2016), Chance has dropped several songs sporadically, but nothing compares to a full-length project. This announcement comes a day after the 61st Grammy Awards and a day before the two year anniversary of the 59th ceremony, where Chano took home three awards that night.

Chance was not the only one on board confirming the July release. His manager and longtime friend, Pat Corcoran, took to IG to corroborate the announcement. The 25-year-old artist was seen in the studio with Kanye West and Zaytoven last year, during Ye’s Chicago homecoming. There has been no word since Ye announced a collab album with his mentee, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Be sure to stay tuned for more details. Peep the announcement in the video below.
