Manuel Turizo, Karol G and Maluma Score New Latin Airplay Top 10s

Three Colombian urban acts land in the Latin Airplay chart’s top 10 on the ranking dated Feb. 16.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

18-year-old reggaeton singer Manuel Turizo secures his third top 10 on the list as “Sola,” his latest single, rockets 16-8 on the tracking week. The tune lifts with 10 million in audience impressions (up 23 percent) logged in the week ending Feb.10, according to Nielsen Music (2 million impressions above its previous tracking week).

The tune, written by Sky, Turizo and brother Julian, is Turizo’s first entry into the Latin Airplay top 10 as a lead act, dating to his first entry as a featured act on Piso 21’s “Dejala Que Vuelva,” which peaked at No. 8 (March 2018). His second top 10, and former leader, was the result of an Ozuna collaboration: “Vaina Loca” ruled for two weeks in Oct. 2018.

“Sola” concurrently climbs the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart’s top region, lifting 11-6. It's his third top 10 on the list.

Right below, compatriots Karol G and Maluma’s “Créeme” jumps 14-9 in its 13th frame. The song climbs with a 9 percent boost in audience (to 9 million).

The move grants Karol her third top 10, all of which have been secured through collaborations: “Mi Cama,” with J Balvin featuring Nicky Jam was her first No. 1 (one week, August 2018), while the second leader came through her featured turn on Luis Fonsi’s “Calypso” (one week, Sept. 2018.)

Meanwhile, Maluma picks up his 13th top 10 on the survey -- and third in a row: “Mala Mia” led the list for one week (Nov. 2018) and “Amigos Con Derechos” with Reik peaked at No. 5 on the Jan. 5 tally.

“Con Calma” Improves: Beyond the Latin Airplay chart, Daddy Yankee’s “Con Calma,” featuring Snow glides 13-10 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. The song moves thanks to a 43 percent leap in weekly plays, taking the Most Increased Audience honors.

While Snow scores his first top 10 appearance, Daddy clocks his 44th top 10. He continues at the lead for the most top 10s since the chart’s inception in 2005.
