DIXIE CHICKS COVER BEYONCÉ’S ‘DADDY LESSONS’

Dixie Chicks take on Beyoncé. While in Manchester, England on Saturday (Apr. 30) the country band decided to put its spin on Queen Bey’s country-tinged jam “Daddy Lessons” off this week’s No. 1 album, LEMONADE.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

It wasn’t flawless, however, as lead vocalist Natalie Maines stumbled finding her starting cue. “I already messed this whole thing up,” she said (via E! Online). But all was well after she recovered, laughing the moment off and moving on with the cover.

Beyoncé has dominated headlines and charts since LEMONADE dropped. This week, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 653,000 equivalent album units.

Speaking of country, Queen Bey has postponed the Nashville stop on her “Formation World Tour,” which was set for May 5. There are conflicting reports as to why the concert was called off, but it will be rescheduled for a later date.
