The Smashing Pumpkins' James Iha Scoring James Franco's Lifetime Movie

"Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?" will air on June 18

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

James Franco will star in and executive a new version of Lifetime's 1996 cult TV movie "Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?". (The original was about a mother who becomes suspicious of her daughter's new boyfriend; it's now a lesbian vampire drama, because Franco does what he wants.) The remake will be scored by James Iha, formerly of the Smashing Pumpkins, as Film Music Reporter points out. It's set to premiere on June 18. Recently, Iha reunited with the Smashing Pumpkins for their first joint performance in 16 years.
