Stream Ye Ali's Long-Awaited 'TrapHouse Jodeci' Project

Stream TrapHouse Jodeci below.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

I found out about Los Angeles-via-Indiana artist Ye Ali in 2015, when his name graced my timeline numerous times. However, that happens seemingly every day, and nearly each time it happens I check out the artist and am ultimately and severely disappointed.

I say "nearly" because Ali was one of the rare artists whose music I actually enjoyed. Sure, his sound is cut from the same cloth as Bryson Tiller, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Kehlani among others, but it fits in with the current direction and aesthetic of hip hop-laced R&B. In essence, that ideal is no different than when Mary J Blige, Faith Evans and even Mona Lisa were singing over boom-bap backdrops.

After much delay and anticipation, Ali revealed his Private Suite project as an appetizer to his formal introduction TrapHouse Jodeci. That project has now arrived as a 13-track project. Buoyed by contributions from K Camp, Bizness Boi, K Forest, Th3ory and more, the project aims to match the levels of anticipation it has garnered. And, personally, if things sound like "Late Nite Flexxx" then I'm here for all of that.
