iHeartRadio Music Awards 2017: Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers, Shawn Mendes & More Join Lineup

Katy Perry performs onstage during The 59th Grammy Awards at Staples Center on Feb. 12, 2017 in Los Angeles.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

Too much pop is never enough. That's the vibe of this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards, which has rolled out an A-list lineup of live performers, from Katy Perry to Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers, Shawn Mendes and more.

Also confirmed for the 2017 edition are Thomas Rhett, Noah Cyrus and Big Sean, who join previously announced performer Bruno Mars.

Ryan Seacrest will host the fourth-annual event, to be held March 5 at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

This year's extravaganza will feature a mix of solo performances, first-time duets and collaborations, though who will perform what, and with whom, will be revealed at a later date. “This will be a night of live performances and once-in-a-lifetime collaborations that will carry fans into the new year of music," says John Sykes, President of Entertainment Enterprises for iHeartMedia, in a statement.

Drake (12) and the Chainsmokers (11) top this year's list of nominees for the iHeartRadio Music Awards, which celebrate the music heard across iHeartMedia radio stations over the past year. Other artists with multiple nominations include Rihanna, twenty one pilots, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Beyoncé.

New awards include producer of the year, label of the year and best music video, as well as individual genre-specific awards for artists, songs and albums of the year and there are eight socially-voted categories. For a full list of nominations and to cast votes visit iHeartRadio.com/awards.

The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live March 5 at 8 p.m. EST on TBS, TNT and truTV.
