Gucci Mane To Embark on First-Ever Tour This Spring

Gucci Mane performs during the Beach Goth Festival at The Observatory on Oct. 23, 2016 in Santa Ana, Calif.

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

In 2016, Gucci Mane cemented his comeback year with a slew of releases including Everybody Looking and The Return of East Atlanta Santa. To continue his monstrous streak, the Atlanta rapper will embark on his first career tour this upcoming spring.

Dubbed the Trap God tour, Gucci Mane will get the ball rolling April 5 in Boston, Mass., at the House of Blues. He will then take his talents to major cities including New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Detroit and Miami. In May, he'll provide back-to-back performances at the JMBLYA Festival in Dallas and Austin, respectively.

This will mark his first career tour for Gucci. When he returned from prison last year, he performed for his homecoming concert in Atlanta, and later on, participated in a bevy of scattered shows for the rest of 2016 -- but the rapper has never embarked on a full tour of his own before.

Serving as the cover star for the latest issue of CR Men's Book, Gucci candidly spoke on his desire to hone his live performances. "I'm a hell of a recording artist, but I want to be a better live performer," he said during an interview conducted by Marilyn Manson during their interview. He added, "I just want it to be like a big party. I want people to sweat. I don't want people to come trying to look all pretty. No, I want you to leave the concert wet as hell, like you've been working out for damn near an hour and a half."

In January, Gucci Mane announced the title of his next album, Drop Top Wizop, though a release date has yet to be revealed.

Check out his dates for the Trap God Tour below. Tickets will go on sale Feb. 24.
