Katy Perry Says She Is Ready to Make Up With Taylor Swift

'When Women Unite, the World Is Going to Heal'

When up-and-coming cartoonist Keef Knight has a traumatic run-in with the police, he begins to see the world in an entirely new way.

As Katy Perry continues to promote her forthcoming album Witness, she stopped by the SiriusXM studios on Tuesday (May 23) to discuss her new single "Swish Swish" and touched on her relationship with Taylor Swift

"'Swish Swish' just basically is like, I stay winning," said Perry. "I just like, you know, I'm above that crap. I'm gonna stay winning. You gonna try to hold me down, I'm gonna come out like a phoenix rising."

From there, host Stanley T turned the subject to Swift, whom many have speculated "Swish Swish" targets as a diss track. Perry had discussed her so-called feud with Swift the night before on The Late Late Show with James Corden and recommended people go watch that for the full story. Still, she did comment after stating "Swish Swish" is about more than any one person or thing.

"I did try and reach out to [Swift]. I tried to do the right thing, the good thing, and, you know, she shut me down and wrote a song," said Perry.

The pop star went on to say she is ready to make amends with Swift.

"By the way, I am ready, because I think when women unite, the world is going to heal," she said. "I don't have any beef really with anyone. I love everyone, and honestly I love everyone and I think we need to unite more than ever. I think we see that today especially, like we need to come together and love on each other today. Don't matter where you come from, don't matter what you believe, don't matter which music you like the most, we are the same and we need to be unified."
