The duo has been friends since their childhood years, in which they bonded over their mutual passion for music. Like average young boys, both TeeWhy and AreJay enjoyed playing sports, and kept their focus on music at bay. However, the two artists decided to make something of their musical talents and interests, which resulted in the formation of their original hip-hop group, TeamCash.
Once they reached their high school years, the artists became even more committed to their new group. TeamCash consisted of eight male members, and their mission was to make a difference and impact in their community through their music. Though they enjoyed the group camaraderie, TeeWhy and AreJay’s bond always stayed strong and consistent which ultimately led to their decision to branch off into their own group.
After making this decision for their careers, the hip-hop duo released their first mixtape, “B120”. As this was a turning point in their careers, they started to conceptualize the vision they had for their future musical careers. They remained committed to growing as a group, while working diligently in their studio sessions to put out the best music possible.
3Ten87’s most recent project is the release of their new, hot single “Round the Way”, which has been receiving rave reviews since the beginning. Produced by famous producer Steve Hybicki, who has worked with MikeWillMadeIt on a consistent basis, the single has caught the attention of many in the industry. “With that single, I think we really came into our own on it. We tried different stuff until we found our sound. Pretty much, everyone loves it,” said the artists. The single continues to climb charts daily, raking in views and hits on platforms such as Spotify and YouTube.
The hip-hop group stands to prove it isn’t your average, everyday duo. They are strategic in their fan outreach, as they use a grassroots approach with it, which has proven to be very successful. Their fans enjoy how personable both artists are, and how they enjoy taking pictures and signing t-shirts with all of their fans. They aim to be a crowd-pleasing pair on and off the stage, which is a quality that makes them stand out among the masses.
Currently, both TeeWhy and AreJay are continuing to promote “Round the Way”, while nailing down their performance schedule. Their track is continuously playing in clubs all over Atlanta, which leaves their fans always wanting more music from them. While staying busy with all of these musical, business ventures, they are working on their next single “Shots Fired” produced by Symphony.
