BChil Realizes Lifelong Dream On New Single Via Collaboration with Hip-Hop Legend Juvenile

ATLANTA, GA – It’s every budding artist’s dream to eventually get to work with their idol.

For Atlanta-based rapper BChil, that dream is being realized at the forefront of his career. His new single, “Talk Back,” features hip-hop legend Juvenile – one of the artists that BChil has long looked up to for musical inspiration. He also worked with Grammy-nominated recording engineer Luther Banks with Patchwerk Recording Studios.

The song is inspired by BChil’s hometown in Louisiana and the culture that comes from the deep south – a culture that he said embraces “bounce music.” In this instance, his song highlights that bounce music through a celebration of the female form.

“I made this song about three years ago, and when I made it I could always hear in my mind Juvenile on the track,” BChil said. “At the time I didn’t believe it was possible, but I wasn’t going to do it unless I could get him on the track. I wanted to make my own type of classic involving the guy who has made classics. Juvenile is one of my favorite artists. I’ve been listening to him since ‘400 Degrees.’ When I produce music it speaks to me – it tells me to do this or that – and every time I listened to this song I always heard Juvenile on it. So I eventually reached out to his manager to work out the details and “Talk Back” became a final product.

Though BChil said he realizes it’s still early in his music career and that he doesn’t yet have a signature sound, he’s hopeful that this single and the collaboration with Juvenile will give him some notoriety within the industry and broaden his reach to a wider fan-base.

“My style in general is taking a journey and walking toward forming an identity,” he said. “I have something that feels good and people can relate to. I don’t want to rap about things I don’t have – like drugs or anything like that. I don’t ever feel like I need to alter anything about myself just to get people to listen to me. I used to look at big artists and never thought I could do what they do, but I changed my attitude and believe in myself and put effort into it, and here we are.”

BChil said he’s proud to start his career as an independent, unsigned artist because it gives him the opportunity to show the world that “this is who I am. I’m just a guy out here with an everyday job, funding my dream. That’s where it all starts. If you invest in yourself and believe in yourself, you can convince others to do the same.”
