Features with Gucci Mane, Hoodrich Pablo Juan highlight new mixtape from Omeeezy Chappo

CHICAGO, IL – Chicago-based trap/rap fusion artist Omeeezy Chappo is back with a hot new sound that’s lighting up the air waves and propelling him into national recognition.

With features from Gucci Mane and Hoodrich Pablo Juan, Omeeezy’s new mixtape “Street Pharmacist” is the perfect kind of summer vibe that will demand listeners to hit repeat over and over again.

“Street Pharmacist” features 13 songs that display Omeeezy’s signature trap/rap fusion – a unique sound and style that has already gained him major attention throughout the industry. His versatile flows offer a unique representation of the Midwest, and combined with his distinct deep-toned voice and an individual delivery of his lyrics, set him apart from any other rapper in the game today. “Street Pharmacist” is a project that he said shows his evolution as an artist and displays a more mature sound, while also nodding to his past and the journey he’s taken thus far to gain the success that he has.

“’Street Pharmacist’ refers to a time when I didn’t have a lot of options,” Omeeezy said. “I was in the trap and I had to do what I had to do, so I was hustling out there. In that sense I was kind of like the doctor, providing everybody what they needed. It’s my story, and it’s only volume one of the story. It’s the start of a series. I’ve always wanted to give my fans that trap feeling, and for the ones who are in the trap still out there hustling, this is for them.”

Omeeezy said he is thrilled to have features from Gucci Mane and Hoodrich Pablo Juan on this mixtape. The connection with Gucci Mane came through his manager, who put some of Omeeezy’s music in front of him one day. Gucci loved one of Omeeezy’s songs so much that he agreed to do a feature on it. That song is “Jealous,” and it’s one of Omeeezy’s favorites on the mixtape.

“It’s about people being jealous of your success and what you’re doing and the moves you’re making,” he said. “It’s about people hating on you. And it’s pretty much about the trap, the hustle and people being jealous. Gucci definitely brought some more sauce to the song. He loved the beat and the sound, and when he heard it he wrote it in about 15 minutes. He brought more of the Gucci edge to it, and it pairs great with what the song is about because it tells his story as a trap artist.”

Hoodrich Pablo Juan is featured on the single “Tom Cruz,” and Omeeezy said the feature is so prominent that when people hear it they will immediately recognize Hoodrich’s sound and style.

“When they hear the verse they’ll know it’s a Hoodrich verse and they’ll see how it complements the sound perfectly,” Omeeezy said. “This is a song about dealing with females – which is often a ‘Mission Impossible’ if you’re trying not to get caught up between two women, or if you’re on a mission not to get caught by either one of them. I wanted Hoodrich on this track because I liked his style and delivery and flow. He was able to add that gelato sauce by the way he delivered his lyrics. The flow of it really elevated the sound.”

Omeeezy said yet another single, “Strippa”, produced by Pierre – is also gaining a lot of attention and is getting regular play in a lot of the clubs around Chicago and throughout Atlanta. Another single that’s also gaining attention is “Run It Up,” which Omeeezy said has a music video that was just launched.
