Upcoming 100: When and how did you become interested in music?
Trill: Always been interested but the drive came when I actually realized I had some talent writing lyrics and sounding good rapping them.
Upcoming 100: How did you come up with the stage name "Trill "?
Trill: I came up with that name because everybody calls me Trell but I decided to replace the “e” with a “i”. I thought it sounded catchier.
Upcoming 100: Describe your kind of music.
Trill: I’m definitely lyrical but my music is Hip Hop but I have the ability to rap on any genre.
Upcoming 100: How did the idea for your single “Circus“ come about?
Trill: I ended up getting a collection of beats and this was the most out there beat. I loved everything about it and I started to rap and it had such a Latin feel that I had to represent for the culture Urban and Hispanics.
Upcoming 100: Share any unforgettable experience while recording or working on "Circus"?
Trill: The fact that I had so much fun doing the add lips to make “Circus” especially adding the Spanish language to the track
Upcoming 100: What’s the basic process you follow when working on a project?
Trill: Just stay locked in and consistent to the task at hand.
Upcoming 100: What had been the greatest challenge of your career so far?
Trill: Just trying brand myself as an Indie artist and getting my content out there so the world could hear me.
Upcoming 100: What do you think are the essential qualities that make an exceptional music artist?
Trill: Being confident and not afraid of criticisms, also willing to work as hard as one has to
Upcoming 100: What advice would you impart to aspiring musicians?
Trill: Just keep grinding. Never stop even if you’re at the mountain top. Keep grinding because you’re chilling somebody else while you’re grinding. So never stop!
